Questions about the website?

If any of you have any questions about the new website, I would be more than happy to answer them. Here is a breif overview of changes that were made to the site.

Members Section: I set up the website member section a little differently to facilitate it's use. You no longer have to log into the jaycee website to access this blog or other features added to the website.

Member Profiles: The member profiles have been improved. The create/edit profile section has been set up on a step by step basis to make it easier to create a profile and edit a profile. A membership quote field has been added for promotional purposes. Use this quote to make a statement to potential members that may be browsing through your profile. Make it a personal message to them. eg. ("The Jaycees is a great place to gain experience for the work place.") Lets give potential viewers reasons to join the Jaycees and not just the community service aspect. We have to sell our organization!

Speak Up: I added a speakup section to allow members to post directly to the top ticker on the member home page. I thought this could be used to make quick announcements and "speak ups" just like in our speak up section of our meetings.

Online File Folder: I did away with the old Minutes section of the website. I figured that we should be using the Online File Folder for this. The password can be retrieved for the online file folder simply by logging in and hovering your mouse over the picture of the online file folder. However, this only works in IE.

Website Statistics: I added a public view to our statcounter application. You can now see who is viewing what page and how much traffic our site generates. This may be useful for project leaders to figure out how effective various methods are for reaching the public of Chillicothe.

Password Retrieval: If you need your password and can't get it from the forgot password link off of the login page just let me know and I can personally email it to you. The forgot password link is suppose to do that automatically if you supply the correct email address but is sometimes marked as spam by your email providor.
